Myra Maracine
Myra originally hails from Canada, having grown up in Toronto and Vancouver. She came to California to pursue an acting career and ended up staying and making it her home. Myra has a strong background in educational theatre with about 10 years of experience. She first started as a performer touring shows throughout Southern California for Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre. She later became a Booking Coordinator and then transitioned into the role of Educational Theatre Outreach Coordinator where she acts as the community liaison between Kaiser and the various Southern California schools and districts they serve. She is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has also trained with SITI in L.A. and South Coast Rep. Stage credits include "Songs for a New World", "Imelda", "Woman from the Other Side of the World", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Day in Hollywood, Night in the Ukraine", "Romeo & Juliet" and "A Jivebomber's Christmas". Film credits include the award winning "Unrest", "Delikadesa", "Bubblehead" and "Much Adobo About Nothing". She is excited to be working with Upstage Theatre and the students that participate in their wonderful programs.
