Two new classes to enhance performance skills and supplement our production programs, will start in October. Everyone who's attended Upstage summer camps and year round programs will know Debra Lee as our resident Musical Director. Now Debra is offering her considerable skills and experience in a semi-private Voice Class. "I wanted it to be a small group," says Debra, "so that I could work with the students one-on-one. I'll really get a chance to tailor my coaching according to the individual needs of each child."

Upstage is also starting a Broadway Jazz Dance Class with James Patrick Moran, or as Artistic Director Adrian Neil-Cohen knows him, JP "I worked with JP on a SyFy movie we filmed, for over a month, in Bulgaria. I knew he was a top dancer and choreographer based in New York, and that he was on the international tour of Chicago. But when I heard he had moved to Los Angeles, I jumped at the chance to insist he work with us at Upstage." Small world as resident director Patrick Hallahan also knows JP through a good friend. Both will be working on the SPEF 5th grade musical Guys & Dolls Junior.
